"Women Build" on the Horizon

The next Habitat for Humanity of Webb County Women Build is just around the corner. 

A “Women Build” is a project where an HFH home is built using funds and labor mostly provided by women. More than 450 Habitat homes have been built this way since 1991, including one home here in Laredo. The Vallejo family moved into their "Women Build" home in the Riverhill subdivision last year. 

Lowe’s Hardware is the national partner of the HFH Women Build. They provide training seminars and workshops for the women participating in the build. The next women build project is set to take place in Fall of 2005. The new home will be located in the Riverhill subdivision.
